According to Doran Barton, Iodynamics' president and chief super-hero, the upgrade has already been installed for current customers via a remote update service. Barton added, "With our transparent upgrade service, our customers have access to lots of new possibilities and might not even know it." Even though Iodynamics added several significant new features, the purchase and maintenance price of the NetGateway remains the same.
The previous NetGateway product provided mission-critical services that helped ensure reliable connectivity and protection for Iodynamics' client businesses. By using open source software and the Linux operating system, Iodynamics could provide these services at a fraction of the cost of any competing solution. Previous features included:

The latest upgrades are a direct result of Iodynamics' customer requests. "Our clients asked for easier and more comprehensive administration facilities and we listened," said Michael Morgan, Iodynamics' director of operations. The new Iodynamics NetGateway is available immediately to both current and new customers.
