We're excited to announce that all of Iodynamics' core Linux servers have been moved to XMission's colocation facility in Salt Lake City.
Previously, Iodynamics had one server at XMission's facility and other servers at a colocation facility in Logan, Utah. Thanks to loyal customers and a growing list of clients, we have outgrown the Logan co-location facility. We can now offer our clients scalable bandwidth, more redundant networking, and better power backup.
XMission's colocation facility provides burstable bandwidth of up to 100 megabits per second, and the XMission network connects to several tier-1 backbone providers. XMission's electrical power supply is backed up by a facility-wide battery failover and natural gas generators, both of which are tested regularly. The facility is meticulously climate controlled and protected from physical intrusion by video monitoring and a biometric security system.
This industrial-strength connectivity and support system is great news for those of you who host websites or other services with Iodynamics; it means that our colocated servers have a reduced chance of losing contact with the Internet or falling victim to security threats. With such a top-flight facility at our disposal, the websites and services of Iodynamics clients can stay online during major, even extended network or power outages.
